Why learn Muay Thai?

Muay Thai, which translates literally to “Thai boxing”, is commonly known as the art of 8 limbs because you are able to use hands, elbows, knees, and feet. It also often uses clinching and sweeping techniques.

Muay Thai, similar to kickboxing, will vastly improve your cardio and conditioning while transforming you into an unstoppable and powerful force.

If you are looking to compete, learning proper striking technique and strengthening your stand up game is essential for MMA, kickboxing, boxing, or muay thai fights.

What is BANG Muay Thai?

BANG Muay Thai was founded by Duane “Bang” Ludwig, a former professional kickboxer and MMA fighter. Sensei Ludwig holds the record for fastest knockout by punch in the UFC at 6 seconds.

Ludwig’s unique style of fighting switches fluidly between both orthodox and southpaw stances and seamlessly combines offensive strikes with defensive movements. Ludwig has dedicated his life to teaching martial arts and developed the BMT striking system to help students learn.

With this striking system, you’ll learn fundamental movements by practicing with a partner, also known as “Dutch” style. Each week, we’ll focus on a specific combination to improve your skills while also getting in cardio work on our kick shields.
